Powder induction, wetting and dispersing

The Rmixx RMC inline powder dissolving machines are built for the dust-free induction, wetting and dispersing of powders in liquids. The machines are designed on the rotor-stator principle and generate a strong vacuum that draws in and disperses the powders without dust.

Unlike batch powder induction mixers, these machines are installed outside the liquid tank rather than inside it. This allows the machine to focus its full power on a very small volume of liquid, for maximum effectiveness in wetting and dispersing.

How the inline powder dissolving machine works

  1. The liquid is fed through a rotor-stator system.
  2. The rotor-stator creates a very high vacuum.
  3. The high vacuum draws powders (or liquid additives) into the dispersing zone.
  4. The powders are broken down to particle level even before they are wetted.
  5. The air present is drawn out of the powder particles, allowing the liquid to penetrate to the core of the particles. This results in perfect wetting without agglomerates or trapped air bubbles.
  6. The homogeneous dispersion is returned to the tank via the outlet. Any air bubbles are no longer trapped in the particles and can easily escape via the liquid surface in the tank.
  7. The result is a highly homogeneous end product with high reproducibility and short processing times.

Direct, highly reliable drive for a very long service life

The direct-drive RMC features a solid coupling housing, which eliminates time-consuming, specialist alignment work. As standard, it is fitted with an easily accessible claw coupling.

As an option, a freewheel coupling can be fitted, which greatly reduces damage to the machine caused by foreign objects. This freewheel coupling is very easy to reset, so you are fully operational again in no time.

Seal liquid system with easily exchangeable cartridge seal

The RMC features a top-quality seal housing with a quick-change cartridge seal, consisting of a double mechanical seal that meets the strict EHEDG hygiene requirements.
The Seal Liquid System provides good protection and easy access to the seal connections for service and inspection, keeping downtime and maintenance to a minimum.

The machine is characterised by

  • Dust-free and loss-free processing, no decanting required, no product build-up in the tank or in the extraction system.
  • Direct powder induction from bags, silos, powder hoppers, big bags or powder containers.
  • Immediate, complete wetting of the powders directly in the liquid flow, so that no powder residues or crusts form on the tank wall or on the agitator shaft.
  • Higher degree of dispersion than with conventional mixing and dispersing processes.
  • Liquids or gases can also be drawn in.
  • CIP cleaning without dismantling.
  • Power: up to 90 kW
  • Speed: up to 3,600 rpm
  • Recirculation rate: depending on machine size, up to > 100 m³/h
  • Mechanical seals: quick-change cartridge seals, fully compliant with EHEDG guidelines.
  • Elastomers: to customer specification (Viton, EPDM, FFKM/Kalrez, FDA-compliant, etc.).
  • Induction rate: up to more than 20 t/h
  • Voltage: 230/400/500 V, 50/60 Hz, special voltages available
  • Dispersing chamber: stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316 L), special materials available, interchangeable tools, separate stators for powders and liquids, easy to exchange.
  • Viscosity: from low to (very) high viscosities (depending on the size and use of the machine)
